About Western Motor Tariff Bureau
The Western Motor Tariff Bureau, Inc. (WMTB), originated in 1954 and founded in the State of Hawaii in 1968, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization who serves Hawaii’s regulated motor carriers. WMTB is comprised of over 400 motor carriers that transport property and passengers over public thoroughfares in the State of Hawaii. The Bureau serves as the representative for member carriers before the State of Hawaii’s Public Utilities Commission.
What we do:
WMTB provides standard industry rates with the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for all classifications of motor carriers across the State of Hawaii. WMTB has current, operational tariffs on file with the PUC that are available for passenger carriers and all classifications of property carriers, to include:
Household Goods
Dump Truck Commodities
General and Specific Commodities
WMTB works to publish, justify and research tariffs for regulated carriers and represent the member carriers before the State’s Public Utilities Commission.
